I have written (and continue to work on) a number of tools to help manage jails.

  • mkimage: Creates a dump file out of a memory disk-backed jail.
  • mkjail: Creates a jail with many options, including starting it, mounting ports, installing package groups.
  • mkpkgs: Creates a group of packages within a jail and stores them for later use.
