[edit] The basement lab/rack

From top to bottom :

  • A IBM 300PL running as router / firewall / AP /DNS
  • Dell laptop docking station.
  • A Cisco 2930 switch w/ 1 GBIC card.
  • A Teraserver NAS 4 X 250 ATA, running some weird embedded linux.
  • Left: A power spec 3 Ghz Pentium 4D. It has a removable drive tray in it, I have 1/2 dozen OSes I test in it. RIGHT: A powerspec Semperon that runs Windows terminal server.
  • LEFT: A Mac Dual 1.26 G4 'mirror' running tiger (soon leopard) RIGHT: A dell 4600 2 Ghz Pentium running FBSD that does automated network chores, e.g. backups
  • Half-dozen Firewire drives for mirroring (connected to the 4600
  • On the left you can see the poor old overworked machine this wiki is running on, between the rack and the shelf next to it on top of the APC 2200 UPS. It is an old IBM300PL Pentium.
  • On the lower left, an APC 2200 UPS providing backup to most of the rack.
  • On the lower right is another IBM 300PL that is not currently in use.

Not pictured is a 16 port KVM connected to my desk that allows me to drive these machines.
